今回私は契約を早めました。7ヶ月だったのを半分にしました。

理由は色々ありますが、1)船の文化に馴染めなかったのと、2)あまり忙しくなれなかったがメインです。

1) 今までRoyal Caribbean, Silver Sea, そして今回Holland Americaと毎回違うクルーズ会社を渡ってきましたが、どの会社にも色があります。

Royal caribbenのような大きな船はやはり、多様性があります。私が乗った3300人クラスの中規模でも確か60カ国以上からクルーが来ていて、お互いの国のグループが干渉し合わず、緩くつながる。そんな感じでした。

Silver Seaはとても小さい船なので、みんなで仲良くするといった感じでした。一方私にとって、Holland America はどっちつかずで、なおかつヨーロッパ出身の人が多く馴染めなかったと自分なりに客観視して思います。でも楽しい人は本当楽しいクルーズ会社なんだろうなとも感じます。

2) 私の給料はコミッションなので、人が来ない=給料がないというシンプルな図式で、半分開院してるみたいなもんです。

全世界いけていいなと時々言われますが、自分なりに臨床経験を積む中で、今やれる修行をつまないといつ積むんだという焦りが常にあります。

また、開業と違い、短期間で入れ替わり違う人・違う症状を診れるというこの機会に、患者さんを診ることができないのはこの上ない苦痛でした。

毎回じゃなくても、結果を出せば新しい患者さんが来る(前回は来たのです)と思っていただけに私の想像が今回外れました。

そんなわけで、3月14日に帰国し4月21日にまた日本をたちます。

今回もあと少しですが、いい勉強になりました。

I shorten the contract this time. I changed from 7months to 3 and half months.

There are several reasons for this, but mainly 1) I can't get used to cruise culture and 2) I couldn't be busy.

1) I worked at Royal Caribbean, Silver Sea and this time Holland America. Each time I changed and I realize each cruise company has own color.

As Royal Caribbean has big ships, they have diversity in the ship. I joined the ship that has 3300 guests + 1100(?) crews capacity. It's middle class but the crews are from more than 60 countries. Each countries has own group and interfere so much and connect softly. It's my impression.

Since Silver Sea is quite small ship, everyone will be friend together.

On the other hand, for me, Holland America is in between furthermore many crews come from Europe and USA. That's why I recognize that I can't get used to.

But for some crews, surely they are really enjoy the ship life by this company.

2) my salary is commission. It means no guest is no salary. It's very simple and it's like I open my clinic on the ship.

Some friend told me that you're lucky to go around all over the world, but while I got experience through treatment, I always feel all the time, if I don't treat patients and get experience now, when can I do it?

And it's not actual my clinic, the guests would change in short terms. I have big opportunity I could treat new guests and new problems. So I really suffered from this situation that I was not busy.

Not every time but if I produce good result, as I thought new guest would come in this ship( it happened last contract), my imagination was wrong.

So anyway, I'll come back to Japan at 14th March and leave at 21st April.

my contract will finish soon. I study a lot of things this time, too.
