イタリアのLivornoはクルーズではポピュラーな港の一つです。
街自体はイタリアに数ある地方都市の一つなのですが、近くに斜塔で有名なピサ、また、９０分かければフィレンツェにも行けるからです。
ピサとフィレンツェに押されて曇りがちですが、最近有名になってきている街にルッカがあります。壁に囲まれた街として有名です。
すっかり秋の気配に包まれたトスカーナ地方は非常に綺麗でした。でも、この街で私が一番心を奪われたのはこの地方出身の聖人、ジータです(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zita)。英語しかありませんが、興味があれば読んでみて下さい。
ルッカではこのジータをとても大切にしているそうで、実際春に彼女を祀った花のお祭りも開かれるそうです。
ヨーロッパで、今まで色々な聖人及びその伝説に触れてきましたが、彼女はなぜか身近な存在と感じることができました。
それは、13世紀の方で何千年も前の聖人ではないからかもしれませんし、私の先生に顔や雰囲気が似ていると思ったからなのかもしれません。
場所が綺麗に清められ、ルッカの人が彼女本当に敬っているのを感じたのもあるのだと思います。
ですので、カトリックではありませんが、ジータを崇める気持ちからお守りを購入しました。
次また来る時に、お守りを持ってきて交換しよう。
そう心に決めたルッカでの思い出でした。

It wasn't touristic spot before, however, Lucca is getting popular now. Here is famous as the town is surrounding the wall.
Toscana was the middle of the autumn. It was really beautiful. However, the most impressive thing that grabbed my heart was Saint Zita who was from this area. It's only English, if you have interested, please read it.
In Lucia, people recognize her as very important, actually there is festival to cerebrate her in each spring.
In Europe, I read many Saint and their defend. This time I feel her very closely, I don't know why.
It's because she lived in 13 centuries and its not far like thousands years ago furthermore I thought her face and atmosphere was similar to my teacher.
The place was cleaned, I felt people in Lucca really admire her.
So, I'm not catholic, from my feeling to respect her, I bought charm this time.
When I will visit Lucca again, I bring it and change new one.
It was my memory in Lucca.
