モンテネグロからの手紙 the letter from Montenegro

先日、親から連絡があり、モンテネグロのコトールと言う港から送ったハガキが約1ヶ月経て届いたとのこと。

飛行機だと15時間あれば間違いなく着く距離ではないでしょうか。

それが1ヶ月。

大学生の時に、タンザニアへ旅に出た友人からハガキが届きました。

私が全く知らず想像も及ばない場所へ友人が行って、そこから知らせが届いたと言う事実に、なんとも言えない興奮をしたのを今でも覚えています。

船で世界中を旅するようになって、様々なところからハガキを出しました。

カリブ、ウシュアイア(アルゼンチン最南端の都市)、北欧などなど。

その出したいと言う気持ちの原点は、私がタンザニアからもらったハガキにつながっていると思っています。

もらった人とはもう何年も会っていません。

あの当時は仲がよかったのに、年を経ると会わなくなる。その友人だけに限りません。

そんなことが当たり前になるとは、社会人まで全く思いませんでしたが、大人になるとそうなってくる。

お互いが会おうと努力しない限り会わなくなる。

その努力を怠るかどうかが、もしかしたら老後の生活の質を決めるのかもしれません。

あの人に手紙を出そう。

そう決めた親からの連絡でした。

The other day, my parents told me my postcard from Kotor, Montenegro arrive at my house after one month I sent.

If we use airplane, it would be 15 hours.

But postcard need to be sent one month.

When I was university student, I got postcard from my friend who tripped to Tanzania.

My friend went to the place I didn't know at all and was beyond my imagination. And she sent me postcard from such a place.

This fact make me really excited.

When I start to work on the ship and go all over the world, I sent many postcards from various places. Caribbean, Ushuaia( southern city in Argentine), north Europe etc.

The root of passion that I want to send derives Sent from my iPhone

I don't see her many years now.

When I was university student, we are nice friend. Nevertheless when the time passes, we don't meet again. It's not only her.

I don't expect to happen like that until I become adult, but I start to recognize it's normal.

Unless we make effort to meet each other, we won't meet.

Whether we continue to have this passion or not might make the quality of our retired lifer.

Let's send postcard to my friend!

The contact from my parents remind me past passion.
