"Why I'm alive" ten years later after this question

When I treat one guest, he asked me "why are you alive?"

I reacted " I don't know. But I think how to improve my patient's condition connects to your question."

After I answered, I was surprised at my answer.

When I was universally student, I had enough time but nothing to do, I asked myself " why I'm alive".

Throughout I went to trip alone or made some art works, I got one answer. It is to live for the person who died during war.

If USA fall atomic bombs into the place my parents lived, i am not here and cannot have experience to trip around the world like now.

If we say so, I start to think that someone died instead of me, and then for example, my life might be for the person that was died by atomic bomb. It would related with attending 60th years anniversary for atomic bomb in Nagasaki.

I felt like I understand the reason for alive for me only a little bit and I remember my mental burden was little bit less.

I don't think my view of thinking is changed after this 10 years, my age and job request me more responsibility, I want to ask myself " why I am alive?" from now on thorough my job and life.
